Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French... What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct.

Delhi’s Friends of Palestine Condemn Israeli Aggression in Gaza

New Delhi - Nov. 20, 2012

In response to stepped up Israeli aggression in Gaza, university students’ unions and several other organizations held a rally and public meeting near the Israeli embassy on Monday November 19 to protest against Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

The protesters were stopped by the police quite a distance from the embassy. But undeterred, the crowd of two hundred, held placards and shouted slogan to demand an end to Israel’s war on Gaza and peace for Palestine. They also expressed their opposition to the Indian government’s lukewarm response on Israeli aggression and violation of international law.

The protest was non-violent and disciplined, but the passion was very much there. When protesters came face to face with the barricades set up to stop them from reaching the embassy, they tried to push away them away. Some protesters also burned an effigy of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
