Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French... What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct.

Jan Swasthya Abhiyan Endorses InCACBI's Call for Boycott

Posted on Dec. 5, 2012

The Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (People’s Health Movement, India), held a the two-day National Convention on 28th and 29th November 2012, in New Delhi. This was attended by health activists from all over the country. On the occasion of the World Solidarity Day with Palestine, the 29th November, the JSA adopted the following resolution.

We strongly condemn the recent Israeli war on the people of Gaza and the shameful silence of the Government of India. The people of Gaza must not live in an open-air prison as they do now.

We demand that Israel be compelled to withdraw to its 1947 borders, dismantle the thousands of illegal settlements and bring down the apartheid walls. We demand that the Indian government cease arms purchases from Israel that make the Israeli occupation of Palestine possible. We also demand that all scientific and academic institutions cease doing business with institutions of the Israeli state.

We extend our solidarity to the Palestinian People’s Health Movement and indeed the people of Palestine.

We call upon the people of India to endorse the Indian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (InCACBI). If boycott helped bring down apartheid South Africa, so can it help create a just solution in Palestine.
